Whatever this is, it’s been going on for a while now. imamamiwhoami is just a youtube account, which has been putting out some teaser videos for the last couple of months. This latest video seems to be a full song, and not just another teaser.
Some music blogs (specially Gorilla vs Bear) have been following this for a while now, and there’s been lots of speculation about who this is (I think every blonde singer in existence has been mentioned by now). Most of the claims people are making that “it must be some known and established artist like Lady Gaga or Goldfrapp or whatever” are (I think) based on the great production work on these videos.
My guess ? It’s just someone new. The awesome videos ? Have you people been around youtube or vimeo lately ? There are lots of artists out there which don’t have million dollar budgets and are doing visually astounding stuff.
Whoever it is, I just hope she (they ?) keeps releasing stuff because so far i’m loving it.
